Tucked into the quiet coastal town of Shimoda, our guest house is a small, welcoming place to stay on the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula. We're just a short walk from the beach, close enough to hear the sea in the evenings and near enough to town to wander out for dinner without needing a car.

We built this place around the idea that a good stay doesn't need to be complicated. Our rooms are simple and comfortable, kept clean and quiet, with everything you need after a long day of exploring and nothing you don't. Mornings here are slow. Guests linger over coffee, plan their day, or simply sit and watch the light come up over the water.

Shimoda itself is worth taking your time over. There are quiet beaches for swimming and surfing, coastal walks with views back across the bay, hot springs nearby, and small local restaurants serving some of the best seafood on the peninsula. We're always happy to point you toward our favourite spots — the ones that don't make it into the guidebooks.
